Dear Exhibitors and Friends of The Show,

 A few last-minute reminders and information:

 1.Firstly, a message to new exhibitors. There were thirty of you last year, 12 children and 18 adults. You entered 69 exhibits and 50% won a prize. To your credit, 17 of your entries were awarded a First Prize and two of you won a cup. We are keen to communicate this message to encourage you to keep entering. If you were discouraged last year or in the past, please don’t give up!

 2.The deadline for me to receive your entries by email or through the door at 91, Kenilworth Drive, is the evening of Monday 7 September. If you are worried about the damage the weather may do to your vegetables, fruit, flowers or cakes (!) between Monday 7th and the day of The Show, we rather you make optimistic entries. If on the day you enter less entries than planned, we will reimburse you. Please contact me with a good excuse if you need an extension!

 3. This year we again have card readers for the raffle and refreshments AND we will continue to take cash.

 4. After the prize giving and raffle are over at about 5pm, you are welcome to collect your winnings: £1 for a First, 50p for a Second and 30p for a Third. This is a tradition to cover the costs of your entries. However, if you can afford not to collect them, we can put the money towards the cost of next year’s show.

 5. Please, NO NUTS in any bake

 6. We would be very grateful for contributions of CAKES to sell on the day.  Your practice cakes would be gratefully received. The cost of running The Show is close to £1,500 per year, so the more cakes and raffle tickets we sell the better it is for the future of The Show.

7. We are also very grateful to the local community who donate prizes to the raffle, to the volunteers on the day and of course to all of you for entering exhibits. The list of raffle prizes and donors are on the website www.croxleygreenshow.co.uk

8. If you have any difficulty accessing any documents, please contact mail@croxleygreenshow.co.uk and we can email whatever you need.

 Remember, we do this for the fun of it even though we also like to win!

 Staging of exhibits is from 8:00 to 10:45 on Saturday morning at Yorke Mead primary school. We hope to see many of you there. Good luck with your preparations.
