Dear Friends and Exhibitors, 

CROXLEY GREEN ANNUAL HOME & PRODUCE SHOW 2026 

Congratulations and many thanks to all of you for making this year’s Show another great success and for exhibiting the skills, passions and hobbies of our wonderful Croxley Green and Three Rivers District..

 Here are some facts and figures on this year’s Show:

 ·     475 entries, slightly down on than last year but an extraordinary effort considering the drought conditions for our growers.

·     66 exhibitors of which 17 were new exhibitors.

·     29 Children’s entries as well as some who entered the adult classes.

·     There were 42 prizes (1st, 2nd, 3rd) in the Handicraft category which were shared among 21 different exhibitors. This shows the wealth of handicraft talent in Croxley Green.

·     In the Preserves and Bakes category the 50 prizes were shared among 20 of you. We have a lot to be proud of in our village.

 Some trophy highlights:

 Children.

 Harry Dewar cup for Children under 6 – Grace Roberts

Harry Dewar cup for Children aged 7-10 – Jay Gannon

Croxley Hardware Potato Bucket – Harvey Road School – Bluebells

 New exhibitors.

 The Charlotte Roberts Cup – Diana Stokes

Trench Cup for Cut Flowers – Elen Cook

Best Bakes Exhibit – Pamela McConnan for her Chocolate Cake

 Our new exhibitors also won many 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes. Congratulations to all of you, and above all, welcome. We hope you have been inspired to enter again next year.

 Colin Lucas Heaviest Marrow Trophy

 Again, Dave Tait won this highly contested trophy with a 20k whopper. Dave has the bragging rights for another year. It’s going to be a long 12 months….

 The RHS Recognition Certificate went to Janet Lucas for her loyal support to our Show over many years; former committee member; winner of many cups and her husband Colin is the inspiration behind the Colin Lucas Heaviest Marrow Trophy.

 And congratulations to Jacob Roberts (9 years old) for winning 1st prize in an adult class – Class 98. Lego model, own design.

 Thank you so much for buying raffle tickets and refreshments and for donating cakes for sale. This will help us to cover some of the direct costs of the Show: hall hire, trophy engraving, judges’ fees and overall costs like group insurance and RHS membership.

 And thank you to all those of you who helped set up the Show on Friday evening and dismantle it on Saturday afternoon.

 We always value your comments on the Show in order to make improvements where possible. Thank you to those of you who have already emailed us.

 Once the trophies and medals are engraved, we will be dropping them off to you.

 If you know anyone who would like to be on our email mailing, please give them this address.  And please encourage family, friends and neighbours to have a go next year.

 Next year’s Show will be on Saturday 11th September 2027.  We will have the new Schedule (list of exhibition items/classes) available for mailing next spring.

2026 Cup winners

TROPHIES: CUPS AND MEDALS

***Most cups are decided on accumulation of points won by the exhibitors ( 1st: 3 points; 2nd : 2 points; 3rd: 1 point) ***

So, the more classes you enter in each category, the more points you are likely to accumulate thus increasing your chances of winning a cup.

Cups are engraved with the winner's name and returned to the committee after one year.

The George Ricketts cup is awarded for accumulation of points across a number of categories- most points in

Vegetable, Fruit and Flower classes 1-29 and 46-81

All the other cups are listed in italics in the schedule.

MEDALS

There are 7 medals awarded which are engraved with the winner's name and retained by the winner:

Doug Flint Best Vegetable exhibit medal - Vegetable classes 1-29

Best Fruit exhibit medal - Fruit classes 46-50

Roy Davis Best Flower exhibit medal - Flower classes 51-81

Best Handicraft exhibit medal - Handicraft classes 88-101

Best Bakes exhibit medal - Bake classes 115 - 128 (excluding 119)

Best Photograph medal - Photography classes 135-142

RHS Banksian medal - most points in Vegetable, Fruit and Flower classes 1-29 and 46-81, Winners in previous two years not eligible: They are Pat Hiscock, Denise Flowers
