Updates in progress (12th January 2025)
The Croxley Green Annual Home & Produce Show is our ‘Village Show’, a traditional community event for all the family. We keep this tradition alive every autumn as our predecessors have every year since 1919.
There are over 150 different items to enter. You can enter as many as you like in the vegetables, fruit, flowers, handicrafts, flower arranging, baking, jam-making, photography, wine and liqueurs and children's categories...

POTATO BUCKET COMPETITION
FOR LOCAL SCHOOLS & YOUTH GROUPS
Can you grow the heaviest crop of potatoes in a bucket?
Planting time – Spring. Plant a bucket with some seed potatoes and compost of your choice. Don’t forget to drill some drainage holes in the bottom of the bucket! We can provide a bucket or you can use your own. (maximum 16 litre volume).
On Show day, we ask that you bring your Potato Bucket containing compost and plants, labelled with your school or group name, to Yorke Mead School between 8am and 10.45am, or 2.30pm and 3.30pm. The Potato Buckets will be displayed outside the main school building entrance.
Doors open to the public at 2.30pm. After 3.30pm, we will empty each bucket with the help of the children and weigh the potatoes to find the heaviest crop. You get to keep your potato harvest.
The heaviest crop will be awarded the Croxley Hardware Potato Bucket Cup. All entries will receive certificates. Each school/group can enter up to 2 buckets.
