Onions, over 230grams

Onions, over 8 ounces / 230grams each.

4 are required.

Onions should be cleaned and all old scale leaves trimmed off, but do not skin them down to the pale green under-skins.  It is a good idea to harvest them a couple of weeks prior to the Show to allow the skins to dry off.

When exhibited as green onions they should retain the whole of the green top and their roots.  It is permissible to wash out all the soil from roots and to wash the bulb.  Each should be of an even size.
